She made her debut as a child artist in the Bollywood movie “Makdee” which was released in 2002. She won the heart of many viewers with her performance in this movie.

Swetha Basu was born on 5th January 1991 in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, India. She has completed her schooling education from R. N. Poddar High School in Santa Cruz, Mumbai. She is the daughter of Sarmishtha Basu and Anuj Prasad. Her surname is taken from her mother’s maiden name Basu and from her father’s name prasad was taken.
She started her career as a child artist at the age of 11 with the Bollywood movie “Makdee”. She has also won the National Film Award for “Best Child Artist” in this movie. Apart from movies, she also appeared in TV serials like “Kutumb, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, Karishma Kaa Karishma, and The Magic Make-Up Box”.
