Amy Jackson was born on 31st January 1992 in Isle of Man, United Kingdom. She was the daughter of Alan Jackson and Marguerita Jackson. Her father has worked as a producer for BBC Radio Merseyside. In their siblings, she has one elder sister named Alicia Jackson.

She has completed her education at St. Edward’s College. She came into the limelight when she won the title of Miss Teen World in 2009. Later She started working as a model and done many modeling assignments.

In 2009 she was spotted by an Indian movie producer when he sees her photo in the miss teen world competition and asks her to give an audition for his next upcoming Tamil film. After giving an audition she was selected as an actress in the Tamil drama movie “Madharasapattinam” from where her career in acting begins.
